Google Analytics is a free tool used to track visitors and traffic on your website. To get started, use the video and instructions below:

Step 1: Go to http://google.com/analytics and sign in with an existing Google account or create a new Google account to use. Click the ‘Sign Up’ button.

Step 2: Enter the URL for your website, choose an account name, and time zone. Click Continue.

Step 3: Enter your last name, first name, and Country or Territory. Click Continue.

Step 4: Agree to the terms of service and click Create New Account.

Step 5: You will see HTML code on the right in a box. Highlight all of that code, right click, and copy the code.

Step 6: Navigate to the page in your WebStarts editor that you wish to track using Google Analytics and click ‘Insert’, then ‘HTML Code’.

Step 7: Paste the code on the right and click ‘OK’.

Step 8: A blank box of code will appear on your site. Click the ’send to back’ icon to prevent it from showing up in your editor.

Step 9: Log into Google Analytics and begin tracking your website.
