WebStarts doesn’t provide a built in hit counter. However there are several hit counter services on the internet which work well with WebStarts. The following are instructions on how to use one such service. To add a hit counter to your website follow these instructions.

Step 1: Go to http://csshtmltutorial.com/csshtmltutorial-freewebsitehitcounters.php

Step 2: Choose whether you’d like your hit counter to display total hits or total unique visitors.

Step 3: Choose the desired hit counter styler.

Step 4: Copy the code displayed in the box below the list of hit counter styles.

Step 5: Login to your WebStarts account and choose to edit the page where you’d like the hit counter to be displayed.

Step 6: Click on the “Insert HTML” icon on the toolbar, paste the code in the area provided, and then click “Ok”.  Please note the insert HTML function is not available on free accounts.

Step 7: Drag the hit counter where you’d like it to appear on the page and click “Save”.
