If you do not want to use the WebStarts page editor but would like to utilize WebStarts free and low cost hosting you can switch your account to HTML Only Mode. HTML Only Mode will allow you to upload HTML web pages you’ve built in offline web editors like Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and other programs. This interface acts as a web based ftp uploader to get files from your computer to your hosting account.

Please Note: If you switch to Easy Mode or HTML Only Mode, you will lose all of the previous content you previously uploaded or designed. WebStarts is not responsible for any data loss when switching to or from HTML Only Mode.

To switch to HTML Only Mode follow these steps.

Step 1. Log into your account and click on “Settings”.

Step 2. Scroll down to the Site Mode section and click the button labeled “Switch To HTML Only Mode”.

Step 3. Confirm you would like to switch by clicking “Ok”.  You can change back to standard mode anytime by following these same instructions.

If you are trying to use HTML code on your website, you do not have to switch your account to HTML only mode, you can simply insert HTML using the instructions found here.
